How To Review Requests To Access The Prayer Wall

It's possible that people want to view the Prayer Wall, but don't have a profile in your Church Account for an admin to change their Connection Type. (Connection Types on a profile must match the allowed Connection Types rule as set in the Prayer Hub Privacy Settings here.)

These people can go to your church's Prayer Wall in your Launcher and request access. These requests will land in the  Needs Access section of your Prayer Hub.

How to review requests to access your church's Prayer Wall

To manually review those who wish to view your church's Prayer Wall, but don't have a profile with the necessary Connection Type:

1. Go to your Prayer app and select Prayer Hub. Click here for a quick link.

2.
Then, select Needs Access in the left sidebar.

Here, you will be able manually review each person without an account associated with your church, who wishes to view your church's Prayer Wall. (You'll see a notification number beside  Needs Access if there are people to review.)

3.
Click the Review button to see the details of a person's request to access.

You'll see some basic details of that person (name, email, phone number), as well as a message left for you to learn a bit more about who they are.

4.
Once you've assessed their request, you can choose to Approve their request to access the Prayer Wall.

5.
Otherwise, you can click Other Action and select Ignore Request or Block Person. (Don't worry. You can always unblock someone in the future.)

While ignoring and blocking a request doesn't give you any further options, selecting to approve a request will present you with a few different options:

1. Approve via Connection Type

By clicking on the Add a Connection Type dropdown menu, you can select which Connection Type you wish to add to this person's profile. This will affect how they interact with your Launcher and Nucleus account entirely.

In other words, anywhere else your church uses Privacy Controls in Nucleus, their Connection Type will now either allow them or disallow them access to those parts.

2. Approve this manually

If you want to grant someone access only to the Prayer Wall or are unsure of which Connection Type to give them, you can select the Approve for Prayer Wall.

Now, even though they don't have the appropriate Connection Type on their profile (which you can always adjust later on), they will be able to access the Prayer Wall.

Note:
  • If you block someone's request overrides any Connection Type they have on their profile. So even if they have the appropriate Connection Type on their account, if you choose to block them, they will no longer have access to the Prayer Wall.

Once you've reviewed a request, the most recently reviewed will appear below the list of requests yet to be reviewed.

Here, you can change the previous decision by clicking the arrow beside View, and from the dropdown menu, select the updated decision for that person.

Depending on how you approved a person's request, a new status will also show up on their line item: Connected, Approved, Ignored, or Blocked.

While this section only hosts the most recently reviewed, all reviewed requests will live in the Access Manager, where you can view all people in lists based on their approval status.

Click here to go there now.
