How Secure Is Nucleus?
Extremely.
Here at Nucleus, we take security seriously. From Prayer requests, to Flow submissions, to donation details, to profile management, to admin access and permissions - you name it. We believe in going above and beyond when it comes to keeping your church’s (and congregation’s) details secure and shared with only those who have been granted the appropriate levels of access.
Of course, we also use industry standard SSL encryption for everything in Nucleus as a baseline. (That should be a given nowadays 😎)
In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.
Summary Of Security Features
If you’re looking for a quick summary of our main security and privacy features, check out these features below:
Specific Admin Permission Levels & Access
All of our products require that a person be granted administrative access to that product to view any details regarding submission or church information. For instance, to be able to view Flow submission details, you must have admin access to your church's Flows Dashboard. For added security and privacy, there are different levels of admin access available so that each admin has access only to what is necessary, while other areas of information remain private. You can find more about administrative access here.
Zero Submission Data In Notification Emails
To further protect the information people submit, submission details are not included in notification emails. Rather, notification emails will let you know that your church has received a new submission, which you can then login to view. This keeps your people's information protected from the prying eyes of email providers, including connected trackers and tools which scrape data and use it for marketing purposes... and worse.
Restrict Access Via Connection Types
Nucleus Prayer also allows you to restrict access to the Prayer Wall to specific Connection Types. This means that approved congregation members will be able to view and pray for one another's prayer requests, but unapproved strangers on the internet will not be able to view those private details.
PCI Compliant & Tier 1 Processing Partners
When it comes to the financial information connected with Giving and Payments, Nucleus has extra layers of security and is fully PCI compliant, as well as all of our Tier 1 processing partners. You can find out the specifics around Giving security here.
Specific Security Measures Per Product
