Auto-Insert Name Data

In Nucleus Messages, you can insert name data attributes in the Subject line of any email, as well as the email body! 😱🤓👥 This powerful new feature allows you to personalize your emails even further, so subscribers you send the email to can get mentioned by their first name. That kind of customization (when used sparingly) has been proven to increase people's likelihood to read and respond to emails. If you use it too much, it can come across as spammy, so use appropriately! The idea here is that if you wouldn't mention your friends name 5-10 times in an short email you write to them, you probably don't want to do that in an email campaign you send either. Most times, perhaps once in the subject line (when appropriate) and once or maybe twice in an email is all you really need. Otherwise it comes off like a slick salesman.

Look for the insert data button to start using this new feature. Or, if you're a bit more technical, you can always type it in yourself like this {{ firstName | there }} where firstName is what it will try to use from the subscriber, and if they don't have on in your campaign, it will fallback to "there"

e.g. Hi {{ firstName | there }}!

= Hi Brady! …(if the subscriber has a name)

or

= Hi there! …(if no name is found)

NOTE: Keep in mind, when you send a test email, it will use the fallback values (e.g. "there") by default.
