Create & Manage Private Inboxes

This feature not only gives admins a whole new level of permissions control in Nucleus 2, (and enhances the already robust privacy of Nucleus Prayer), but it also encourages more prayers to be shared by bringing an explicitly "confidential" option to sharing a Prayer in the PrayerFlow.

Private Inboxes:

  • ✅ Adds an extra layer of privacy to Nucleus Prayer
  • ✅ Lets you create an inbox for Pastors only.
  • ✅ Adds a "Mark as Confidential" option to the PrayerFlow

You can create an unlimited number of Private Inboxes in Nucleus Prayer. For each Private Inbox you create, prayers that are put into a Private Inbox are securely protected and can never be moved out of that Private Inbox. This ensures expectations of privacy are implicitly protected, and prayers cannot be moved around to different inboxes.

Prayers in Private Inboxes do not appear under "All Prayers". You must view them by clicking on the Private Inbox if you have permission to view.

Each private inbox gets its own set of admins, and permission must be granted individually for each inbox that is created. For each private inbox you create, invite only the admins who must have access. Typically, the smaller the list, the better. With Private Inboxes, you do not have to grant access to all of Nucleus Prayer. Any pastor, staff member, ministry leader, or other person in your congregation can be invited to view and manage ONLY the prayers in a single Private Inbox or multiple, without getting access to anything else in Nucleus Prayer. This level of granular permissions is a super powerful capability of the Nucleus 2 admin permission system that is debuting for the first time in Nucleus Prayer for Private Inboxes. (Note: Admin roles for Private inboxes are limited to "Assistant" and "Reporting Only". This ensures that those invited to private inboxes cannot invite others for now which guards private prayers.)

Only Nucleus Prayer Full "Administrators" can create, archive, or invite people to Private Inboxes and manage who has access to each inbox. So be sure to review your Nucleus Prayer roles, and downgrade anyone from "Administrators" to "Assistant" who should not have power to take those actions, or add and remove themselves from any inbox they want.

Archiving a Private Inbox freezes that inbox and prevents any new prayers from being added to it via the dashboard or the PrayerFlow (if you made it visible as a "Mark as Confidential" option. When a Prayer Inbox is archived, you cannot view it or any of the prayers it contains. To view prayers in an archived inbox, you must first restore it. Restoring a Private Inbox does not make the inbox visible under "Mark as Confidential" in PrayerFlow automatically, to avoid unintended behavior. If you want to re-enable it as an option in the PrayerFlow, you'd have to simply set that again manually after you restore.

Note: Private Inboxes is only available in the paid version of Prayer.
