Feature An Action

You can add as many actions as you’d like in The Launcher. But often, you’ll want to draw particular attention to one Next Step that is either really important at your church or is time-sensitive. There are many ways to do this (including using free Launcher Banners), but one of the easiest ways is to simply mark one of your actions as the “featured action.”

No matter where it’s found in your list of actions, any action you feature will jump right to the top of the list as the first action right below your church’s logo. It also makes it stand out with an eye-catching design that looks different than your other actions. You also have the option of whether to showcase an emoji and a short description for it.

To begin, you’ll want to go to your Launcher in your Next Steps, and then select Featured Action. Click here for a quick link.

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

Select An Action To Feature

As long as you’ve created at least one action in The Launcher, you can choose to feature it. (Though if you only have one action, there’s not really a huge need to feature it 😅)

While managing your Featured Action here, choose which Launcher Action you wish to highlight from the dropdown menu. This will bring that action and move it to the very first slot someone sees in The Launcher, no matter where it’s located in the order of actions in your Dashboard here.

Set The Preferred Style

Once you’ve selected an action to feature, you can choose whether to really showcase it using the larger style; or feature it, but just with a hint of minimalism.

Choosing the smaller style will only bring the action to the top of your Launcher with a different color to help it stand out.

If you’ve added an emoji and short description for the action you’re featuring, choosing the larger style will showcase both elements in The Launcher. If you haven’t yet added an emoji and description, the action in The Launcher will simply appear larger.

Choosing the larger style will also take up more space in The Launcher, so if you have more than 5 action items in your Launcher, one will be pushed into the “or, See more next steps” area.

There’s no right or wrong answer to which style you prefer. It just depends on how you want The Launcher to look, and how much you want your featured action to stand out.

There is one other difference between the smaller and larger style offers. Let’s read on to learn more 👀

Choose To Display An Action Pop-out

If you’re wanting to call even extra attention to your featured action, you can toggle on the Prompt for attention setting. This will ensure that when a visitor comes to your website, a prompt pops out from The Launcher button to call attention to the action.

This pop-out will appear after the Launcher Discovery Message has disappeared, and will showcase the name of the featured action with a button to click on to perform whatever action the item is set to do (e.g. open a Flow directly in The Launcher, go to an external link, etc.) without the visitor having to ever open The Launcher themselves.

Choosing the smaller style will prompt the pop-out to load to the side of The Launcher button, in a smaller format when compared to the larger style, which will prompt the pop-out to load above The Launcher button.

Manage Your Featured Action's Emoji & Description

If you’ve selected the larger style (as described above) and are looking to manage your featured action's emoji and description, you can do that by editing the action itself in your list of Actions. Click here for a quick link.

Find your action and click edit.

Under Additional Settings, add an emoji and a description. The description can only be 90 characters long, so keep it short and simple.

Once you’re happy with your adjustments, click the Save Changes button.
