Create & Manage Leaders & Staff

While you might not realize it, your leaders & staff page is one of the most visited pages on your website. Who you have on as staff, volunteers, and leaders can say a lot about your church.

In other words, your leaders & staff page is very important. So best be sure not to make it an afterthought 😉

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

One Place To Manage, Multiple Places To Share

Nucleus Web is designed to make posting information on your website as easy as possible. Instead of worrying about missing updating the same piece of content that’s available in multiple places on your website, simply manage and update that piece of content in one place in your Dashboard, and watch it update automatically in any place it’s shared on your website.

Create & Manage Leaders

To view your leaders & staff, go to your Church Settings. Click on Church Info and then on Leaders & Staff in the dropdown.

To add a new leader, click the + Create New button.

There are several pieces of information to create a leader:

  • Basic profile information
  • A bio
  • Contact info
  • Lists

Amidst the basic profile information is a section to upload up to three different photos. While you’re not required to upload any photos, it’s always nice to have at least one main/headshot photo, especially for any public facing leader in ministry. Of course, it’s always nice to have other photos to choose from, too! (For instance, the alternate photo could be used to show the goofy, not-so-serious side of the person.)

Below the basic profile information is where you can write up a bio of the leader. While the short bio is optional, it can be useful in certain contexts to have a tweet-length intro to who this person is. (Maybe they have a favorite phrase or Scripture verse that helps you quickly get to know them.)

Below the bio itself is a contact info section. There are several types of contact you can add:

  • Email
  • Phone
  • Postal address
  • Social media
  • Link / URL

Add as few or as many pieces of contact info as you’d like. But if you’re creating a profile for someone on staff or who is involved on the more public side of ministry, it’s best practice to include at least an email address.

Note: Make sure you have the person’s permission whenever sharing any form of contact information.

Below this, you can add a leader to a specific list by clicking on all the lists where it makes sense to link this specific leader to. If you don’t see any lists available to select, no worries! You can always create one. (See below how to create and manage lists.)

While managing all your leaders, you can search for a specific person by typing their name or their job/role title.

You can also filter by the date a leader was created or last updated.

To quickly add a leader to a specific list, you can click the down arrow by the View button. Select Add to List and then choose from the lists available.

To archive a leader, click the same down arrow and select Archive in the dropdown menu.

To view all your archived leaders, click View Archived.

Create & Manage Leader Lists

To view your leader lists, go to your Church Settings. Click on Church Info and then on Leaders & Staff in the dropdown. Then click Manage Lists in the left sidebar.

To add a new list, click the + Create New button.

You can add a title, an optional short description, and an optional image.

While managing your leaders lists, you can reorder them by clicking and dragging up/down on the two lines on the right.

To delete a list, click the down arrow and select Delete in the dropdown menu. Then type in DELETE (all caps) and click the Yes, Delete Now button

Note: This will permanently delete this list. It will not, however, delete any leader included in that list.

To view all leaders in a specific list, simply click on a list in the left sidebar.
