Showcase The Launcher On Your Nucleus Site

Nucleus Web is a powerful product that can be utilized completely on its own. But just like the old adage We’re Better Together, Nucleus Web is so much more powerful when combined with other Nucleus products.

Specifically, The Launcher affords you the ability to house all your church’s next steps within a beautiful and easy-to-access location on every page of your website. And without the ability to take next steps, your website is just a Yellow Pages listing.

Not only this, but The Launcher is what helps power Web Privacy Controls by allowing people the ability to sign in to access private pages.

What’s more - The Launcher is completely free! So it’s a no-brainer to showcase it on your Nucleus Website if you ask us 😄

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

What Is The Launcher?

As you’ve built your Nucleus Website, you’ve probably seen a circular button in the bottom corner whenever you preview your site. That’s The Launcher. But what exactly is it?

The Launcher by Nucleus is a powerful, free plugin that provides a fast and focused way for your church to take action. Think of it as one place for every next step - which is great because The Launcher lives on every page of your website, and as your link in bio on social media, so it’s readily available anywhere your people are so they can easily take their next steps.

You can add as many actions as you want that take people to external URLs where people can take next steps. Or - even better! - you can utilize other Nucleus products like Prayer, Flows, and Giving so they can take next steps directly within The Launcher without having to leave your church’s website.

To see all of this in action, check out these three demo websites:

Feel free to test out The Launcher on each site as much as you’d like. Submit Flows. Submit test donations. Submit prayer requests. We don’t mind 😊

To learn more about The Launcher, we have an entire section in our Help Center dedicated to it. But here’s a great place to start.

Powers Banners & Info Cards

In line with housing next steps, The Launcher also powers two other tools: Banners and Info Cards.

Banners appear at the top of your website to help communicate important information to your church on your website. You can even have multiple banners active at the same time if you have more than one important message to convey.

Banners can then link directly to Info Cards or other pages on your website to take people directly where they can learn more and take action.

To learn more about how to enable and manage Banners, click here.

Speaking of Info Cards, think of them as mini web pages that appear in The Launcher. Info Cards give people just enough information about a particular topic so that they can be informed whether they want to take action (whatever that action/next step may be).

To learn more about how to enable and manage Info Cards, click here.

Without The Launcher enabled on your website, you lose the ability to utilize both of these tools to help point people in the direction of particular next steps.

Powers The Sign In/Out Mechanism For Web Privacy Controls

Not only that, but as briefly explained in this guide’s introduction, The Launcher also helps power Web Privacy Controls. Because The Launcher contains the mechanism by which people can sign in/out, The Launcher enables you to utilize private pages on Nucleus Web.

We have an entire article dedicated to help you Understand Nucleus Web Privacy Options, but as a summary, when you set a page to private, to access that page, people need to:

  1. Login to Nucleus
  2. Have the correct Connection Type on their Nucleus profile

Without The Launcher, you lose the ability to sign in, and thereby lose the ability to use private pages on Nucleus Web.

Manage The Launcher’s Visibility On Your Site

Unlike when building a website using other platforms, The Launcher is enabled on your Nucleus Website by default.

Because The Launcher houses all your next steps and helps power Web Privacy Controls, we recommend keeping The Launcher visible on your website at all times. Not only is it free, but it also powers Banners and Info Cards! (You can learn more about both of those next steps tools here.)

However, we understand that in some rare cases, you may not want to use The Launcher. In that case, we provide an option to hide it on your website.

To do this, click on Manage and then on Site Settings. Then select Launcher. (Click here for a quick link.)

Then, select the option to Disable The Launcher Completely On My Nucleus Website.

If you’re certain you wish to do this, click the Save Changes button.

Note: If you disable The Launcher completely, you may break or change links on your website to Flows, Giving, Info Cards, displaying Banners on your site, as well as disabling Sign In so people can access private pages. Please be sure before you turn this off that you are not using any of this functionality of The Launcher by Nucleus.

Manage The Launcher & Other Next Steps Tools

If you haven’t been able to explore The Launcher, Banners, or Info Cards, we highly recommend checking those tools out to help enhance everyone’s experience when they land on your church’s website.

To manage all three of these powerful tools, they’re found under Next Steps in your Nucleus Dashboard.

To build and manage The Launcher, click here.

To create and manage your Banners, click here.

To create and manage your Info Cards, click here.

Of course, we have an entire section in our Help Center to help you set up each one on your site. You can check them all out here.

What Next?

Hopefully you agree with us that Nucleus Web is better with The Launcher enabled on your site. And while The Launcher is a completely free tool, it’s even better when it contains Nucleus Prayer (it’s FREE!), Flows, and Giving. Want to learn more about these other awesome Nucleus products?
