Preview, Publish & Share Your Sermons

We've all been there: a project creeps up last minute and we rush to complete it without taking time to check it over first before submitting/presenting it. And then there it is: a glaring mistake that would have been so easy to fix had we first looked it over.

Thankfully, you can preview all edits you make to your sermons before publishing and sharing your work to your Sermon Hub and subsequently to the world wide web. Let's take a look all the options available to you.

To get started, click on Sermons in the top menu in Nucleus Sermons. Click here for a quick link. Then click to Edit a sermon.

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

Preview Your Sermon (Or Sermon Hub)

To get a good idea of what your sermon is going to look like on the front end before publishing, we recommend clicking the Preview button which can be found in the top right hand corner of any page you're on. When you click the Preview button, you'll be presented with a "preview" of what all of your changes will look like once published.

NOTE: Any changes or adjustments you make and view on the preview page will not be applied to the live version of your sermon until you publish said changes.

Previewing your Sermon Hub works exactly the same as previewing a specific sermon. Simply click preview in the top right hand corner and a new tab will open showing you a current preview of your Sermon Hub.

Publish Your Sermon (Or Sermon Hub)

Publishing a Sermon or Sermon Hub can be found in the same right hand corner as the Preview button. Simply click the Publish button within a specific sermon you're currently editing or on the Sermon Hub page.

Once you click Publish you'll be presented with 2 options. You can either publish the Sermon or Sermon Hub changes immediately or choose a date & time that works best for you.

You can also schedule a date and time when you want your Sermon Hub or Sermon to unpublish as well.

Once you've made you decision, apply your changes and you should be all set ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Share Your Sermon (Or Sermon Hub)

Finally, if you want to share your Sermon or Sermon Hub online in other places, use the share link which can be found by clicking Share at the top of your page. This link is the best way to share the live (published) version of this Sermon or Sermon Hub anywhere you need it: from email, to social media, or even linked to a QR code (not provided by Nucleus).

Don't want to share the published version currently and only offer a preview URL? You can do that as well by clicking Preview URL on the left hand side within the menu.

This link gives anyone access to see the working version of your sermon (including any unpublished changes you or others have made). It can be helpful to share this link with pastors, staff, or volunteers anytime you want someone to see this sermon's latest changes without needing to publish it first. This lets you easily get feedback and make updates before publishing to your church's live website.

NOTE: This Preview URL by default is accessible by anyone with the link. And, it will reflect and use the Privacy Controls you have set on the draft (working) version of your sermon. So just be careful where you share this link especially if it is not set to โ€œPrivateโ€ (public areas like social media are NOT recommended).

What Next?

Once you've got the hang of a good workflow of how to preview, publish, and share your sermons (or Sermon Hub), it's good to make sure your Sermon Hub is set up the way you want it to be. Below are some guides to help you along with that:
