Modify The Language For Terms Used Throughout Sermons

Every church has their own unique culture. And with that culture sometimes comes unique verbiage to call things that otherwise might be commonly known as something else. (You'll even find this phenomenon within Nucleus Giving. We call batch deposits Transfers 😎)

While Nucleus has decided to use terms for certain types of content that are common to most churches, you might prefer to use a different term to label those items. For instance, instead of Playlists, you might prefer to call them Series. Or in lieu of using Speakers, you might want to use Preachers. You can get as creative as you'd like with a select number of terms used throughout the Sermon Hub.

To get started, click on Sermon Hub while in Nucleus Sermons. From there, choose Settings in the top menu, and then select Language (Terms) in the left sidebar. Click here for a quick link.

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

What Terms Can You Adjust?

To get to the location where you can adjust the Language of your SermonHub, go to Sermons -> SermonHub.

Then Settings -> Language (Terms).

Once you navigate to the Customize Language page, you'll see the six different Terms that you can change: Home, Playlists, Speakers, Scriptures, Topics and Search.

Modify Common Terms In Your Sermon Hub

Click Edit on whichever terms you want to change.

A new overlay with appear with the ability to change the Language of the term you want.

You'll be able to see the term Nucleus uses and the display term that you've decided to input in the Dashboard to help keep things organized. But wherever you've entered a custom term, that will take over any place Nucleus' term displays in Sermons.

Some terms have plural options, like Playlists, Speakers, and Topics.
