Welcome To Nucleus Posts

Communications in church can sometimes be a nightmare. Every ministry wants announcements from stage each week, but how do you decide what gets the spotlight? And what happens when people aren't listening to the in-person announcements? How are they informed of what's going on at your church?

Nucleus Posts helps provide a reliable solution to chaotic church communications. Posts provides you with a centralized location where anyone in your church can keep track of the latest announcements, find event or ministry updates, and even stay up to date with your pastor's latest blog/thoughts. And not just find these updates, but be notified the moment a new Post is published for the specific event/ministry/"thing" that you're interested in.

Posts is a simple yet powerful tool you can use to shore up gaps in your church's communication strategy. Let's take a quick overview of Nucleus Posts below.

Posts: Blogs, Announcements, & Updates

Now, you may be wondering: What exactly is a Post?

A Post is focused piece of content to communicate important information to your church congregation.

Want to make your weekly bulletin available online for your church? Make a Post!

Need to update your church about changes to an upcoming event? Make a Post!

Looking to share some thoughts from your pastor this week? Make a Post!

Need to provide instructions your volunteer teams for an upcoming big service? Make a Post!

Posts are a great way to ensure that no matter if people are present in person on Sunday or if they're halfway around the world, they receive and can access important communication hot off the press.

Collections: Organizing Your Posts

As you can imagine, having all these various Posts for various different ministries, events, and updates, it could become very messy and convoluted on your church's website quite quickly. That's where Collections come into play.

When creating a Post, you must assign it to a Collection. This helps keep all your Posts organized in their designated place. All weekly bulletins can exist in one Collection without cluttering up your church's prayer updates, your youth group communication, or your pastor's blog.

This also helps ensure that admins can be assigned management roles over specific Collections, so each ministry leader or event organizer can be empowered to create Posts for their specific audience when it counts, and not have to wait days and days before someone else can create the Post for them.

Your Post Hub: One Centralized Location For Comms

All your Posts and Collections exist in your Post Hub. If you are familiar with the Sermon Hub on your Nucleus website, the Post Hub functions exactly the same: as a centralized location to house all of your Posts and Collections.

Your Post Hub is an excellent place to point people to, for them to learn all of the happenings and ongoings at your church. It can also be a great habit to instil in your congregation that, if they have any questions about what was announced on Sunday, they can go directly to your church's Post Hub, rather than needing to call the front desk or wait for an admin to email them back about what they heard (or missed).

Audience Subscriptions & Message Campaigns

Now, your Post Hub is an excellent resource for people to access on their own accord, but what about when a new Post is published? How are the right people notified about this important piece of information (especially if there is an urgent update/announcement)?

You now know that each Post lives within their assigned Collection. Well, each Collection has a, "Subscribe to this Collection," form for someone to subscribe for all new Posts that are published to that Collection. All that's required is a name and email address. When someone subscribes to a Collection, they are then sent an email every time a new Post is published to that Collection. This allows for people to receive updates and announcements the exact moment they are shared on your Post Hub. Talk about shoring up communication gaps!

What's more, is that each Collection has its own Smart Campaign created in Nucleus Messages. This allows admins to send messages to whomever subscribes to a particular Collection. In other words, it's not only alerts about a new Post that you can send to an audience. You can send regular emails to them as well with just a few clicks of a button.

(And don't worry - if anyone decides they no longer want to receive updates for a particular Collection, they can always click the unsubscribe option in any email they receive.)
