My Nucleus Vs. Church Accounts
Understanding key constructs of any platform you use is crucial to orienting yourself, other admins, and anyone else who will use the platform. Knowing how accounts are created, accessed, and connected will point you in the right direction, so you can then point other admins and your congregation in the right direction.
In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

My Nucleus (i.e. Personal Accounts)
Anyone - church member, visitors, church staff - can create a My Nucleus account by visiting my.nucleus.church and entering their email address and a password. The other way is by completing a Flow (Giving, Payer, or custom) and entering their email address to receive a receipt. My Nucleus accounts provide the person access to their personal profile where they can keep their contact information up to date with their church, as well as allows them to manage their personal records and submissions.
Note: Giving, Prayer, and Flow submissions will only show inside a person's My Nucleus account once that person has actually submitted one of those types of Flows to a particular church.
When someone creates an account by visiting my.nucleus.church, because this is a general sign up/sign in page for all of Nucleus, their My Nucleus account will only become associated to a specific church once they submit a Flow (Giving, Prayer, or custom) for a church, or are added to the church admin team. Generally speaking, most My Nucleus accounts will be created by people when they submit a Flow for the first time, in which case their account will be associated with your church right away. But it is possible a My Nucleus account is created outside of this context.
People can add multiple email addresses to their My Nucleus account, which is especially helpful for people who regularly use several emails in their day-to-day life to ensure that all of their information and submissions are connected to a single account; however, only one of these email addresses can be used as the main login email. You can find more information on adding and managing account email addresses here.
Church Accounts
Nucleus is designed so that every login/account is used for just one person, and can work for managing both personal things in My Nucleus and managing church features and data. This makes the Nucleus account system really robust and helpful, as anyone in your church with a Nucleus login they created as part of taking next steps with your church, can also be granted access to areas of your church to help you manage information or a certain product or area. Only those you invite specifically to help admin your church's products or data in Nucleus gain access to that side of things, but this functionality smooths the path forward for people to volunteer and be granted access to a few things without having to create a completely different account. (Nobody likes having to create and memorize multiple login credentials.)
There's no limit to the number of admins you can invite to help manage your church in Nucleus. This is super helpful and makes your Nucleus more secure, as you can have multiple logins with various admin permission levels. So be sure each admin uses their own account. In this way, you should never be in a place where you need to share logins or passwords. (This is a bad security practice that doesn't need to exist in the Nucleus ecosystem.)
Whatever email address you use to create a new Nucleus account will always gain you access to a My Nucleus account, which will be where you can view your personal Flow and Prayer submissions, as well as your personal Giving history.
If you also have church admin permissions, you can also view your church's Nucleus Dashboard. This is where you'll be able to view and manage your church's products, submissions, giving records, settings, and so much more.
As someone with admin permissions, once you've logged in with your email address, you'll be given the opportunity to either view your personal information (i.e. See your stuff), or the church Dashboard. If you have multiple churches or campuses you help manage, you'll see them all in the list here - something like this:
How To Switch Between My Nucleus & My Church Account
Once you're logged into your account, you can easily switch between your personal My Nucleus account and your admin access to the church Dashboard.
If you're managing your church's account, you can do this by clicking the dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner and selecting My Nucleus.
If you're viewing your personal My Nucleus account, simply click Switch to Admin.
Who Has Access To My Church's Account?
Here at Nucleus, we know the value of keeping church and personal information secure and private, so don't worry! Only those people you've invited to an admin role will have access to your church Dashboard. (You can find more information on managing administrative access here.)
You can also update the admin access a person has to specific products, or even revoke access entirely, if their role at your church ever changes. You can do this under Church Settings.
