Manage All Your Sermons

Once you've created a few sermons, you'll then populate your Sermons Panel here. And after a while, you'll likely have several sermons in there that you'll need to manage. (This is especially true of anyone who has migrated their sermons from Nucleus 1 over to Nucleus 2.) So before you get too overwhelmed, let's equip you with how to best manage all your sermons and navigate your Sermons Panel.

To get started, click on Sermons in the top menu in Nucleus Sermons. Click here for a quick link.

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

View All Your Sermons

Sermons are the meat of any Sermon Hub and they can all be viewed in one place within Nucleus Sermons so you can easily sort through and find the sermon you're looking for. This is called the Sermons overview and it's the first place you land once you go into Nucleus Sermons.

You can also sort your sermons to better find what you're looking for by clicking one of four options:

  • Sermon Date
  • Sermon Name
  • Last Edited
  • Last Published

Clicking once has your sermons go from top to bottom and clicking again will have it go from bottom to top.

Note: A search functionality is not currently available in Nucleus Sermons like you might see in Nucleus Flows or Giving, but this is something we are going to implement in the near future.

Quickly Manage & Add Sermons To Playlists

If sermons are the meat, playlists are the potatoes. On the left hand side of the Sermons overview you will see an option to create/manage your playlists. To get started, click Manage Playlists.

Here you can create, sort, filter, and edit all of the playlists for your church. To get started creating a playlist click + Create Playlist on the right hand side.

You'll then be asked to provide a title and description for this playlist. While the description is optional, we recommend filling it out to make it as easy to sort through as possible, especially if you plan on having lots of playlists. Once you've done that, click Save & Add Now.

From here, you can add an image to your playlist by clicking the + Add Image button or click the Edit basic info button and change the title, description, image or permission levels of this playlist.

The permission levels are as follows:

  • Public - Any person or robot on the internet can view, save or screenshot all playlist content. And it’s okay for this playlist and its content to be indexed and stored by search engines (e.g. Google)
  • Hidden - This content can still be seen or shared by anyone with the link. Hidden simply means it is unlisted and search engines will be told not to index the content.
  • Private - Requires a Nucleus login to access. This fully protects your playlist and prevents indexing. Only those connected with your church who sign in and match the allowed connection types can view.

NOTE: For more information on connection types and how they are used in the private permission level, click here.

Below the basic info section you can add sermons to the playlist you've created. To get started, click the + Add Sermon button.

Then select the sermons you want to add by either clicking the Add button or switch icon. Once you've selected the sermons you want, click Add Items to Playlist and it will populate in the Playlist Media section.

If you ever want to archive a playlist you've created, simply click the down arrow icon and click Archive. You can then view all your archived playlists by clicking the View Archived button.

You can also reorganize your playlists here as well by dragging and dropping them above or below other playlists. Just click and drag the playlist you want to move up or down.

Create, Edit, Archive & Delete Sermons

To create a sermon, start by clicking the + Create Sermon button on the Sermons page.

Here, you'll be taken through a series of questions to initially set up your sermon with some basic information.

Note: Through this setup wizard, you can add the sermon directly to a playlist, without having to add it later down the road.

Once you've made those selections, you'll be brought to the Sermon Info & Media section. Here you can fill out the basic info, add media sources and additional data to complete your sermon with everything it needs.

For a more in-depth guide on how to create a sermon, click here.

Once you're done editing your sermon, you can click the Exit button in the top left corner and choose either to Save & Close or Discard Changes.

This will bring you back to the Sermons Panel. If you want to archive or even delete a sermon, you can do so by clicking the drop down arrow icon beside the sermon you want to archive and then select Archive.

To view your archived sermons click View Archived on the All Sermons page.

Then click the Delete button beside the sermon you want to remove.

Note: If you want, you can restore any archived sermon. If you restore it, you'll be able to view, edit, or make changes to it (as well as organize it into any collections).

Duplicate, Publish, & Unpublish Sermons

If the need ever arises to duplicate, publish or unpublish an existing sermon, you can do that by going to your All Sermons page and clicking the dropdown arrow icon beside the sermon you're looking to adjust.
