Manage Default Subscribe Form Messaging & Collection
Nucleus Posts is an excellent tool to use for all sorts of church communications, particularly with providing updates on ministries, writing blog posts, sharing weekly announcements, etc. And while it's great for someone to choose to visit your Post Hub on their own volition, what truly makes Nucleus Posts shine is the ability to notify people when a new Post is published for a particular Collection that they're subscribed to.
Nucleus has default language for the subscription form throughout your Post Hub, but if you want to change this, you can easily update it in your Post Hub settings.
To get started, while in Posts in your Nucleus Dashboard, click Post Hub in your main menu. Then select Subscribe in the left sidebar. Click here for a quick link.
In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.
- Two Places People Can Subscribe
- Adjust The Subscribe Form Text
- Set Up The Default Collection On Your Post Hub
Two Places People Can Subscribe
There are two places where people can subscribe for these notifications: On your Post Hub Homepage...

...and on an individual Collection's page.

Nucleus uses the same form in both places, across your entire Post Hub.
Adjust The Subscribe Form Text
To adjust the verbiage used (including placeholder text in empty fields), adjust any text you'd like in your Post Hub settings here.

You can also adjust the legal text below every Subscribe Form, and add hyperlinks to your church's own privacy policies.
Below this, you can adjust the message someone will receive when they either subscribe successfully, or if something went wrong and they were not successfully subscribed.

Set Up The Default Collection On Your Post Hub
At the bottom of your Subscribe Form settings, you will be able to set up and adjust the default Collection on your Post Hub.
If you are setting up your Post Hub for the first time, you will need to establish what your default Collection will be, before any Subscribe Form will appear on your Post Hub, even when viewing the preview url of your Post Hub.

At the bottom of your Hub Homepage Subscribe settings here, click Edit.

From the dropdown menu, select the default Collection you want people to be able to subscribe to. This will be linked to the Subscribe Form on the main homepage of your Post Hub.

Because people will be subscribing to this Collection going forward and will be receiving email updates when a new Post is published, we highly recommend setting and forgetting this. If you change this default Collection down the road, and people start receiving Post updates that aren't regarding what they expect to receive, you could see a large uptick in people unsubscribing, which does not bode well for your emailing reputation, and can hinder future email updates from reliably reading your subscribers for all of your Collections.
Because of this, and because of where people can subscribe on the main homepage of your Post Hub, we recommend choosing a Collection that will be applicable to the majority of your church. Some ideas are Weekly Announcements or Weekly Bulletins, or something like a Blog from your pastor.
Once you're happy with your changes, feel free to preview what they look like. Otherwise, don't forget to publish your changes.
