Build & Manage Actions In Your Launcher

The Launcher is an incredibly powerful tool. But it’s also easy to set up and customize.

Create & Connect Launcher Actions

To add a new item to The Launcher, you'll log in to your account, and choose the Next Steps option from the drop-down in the upper left-hand corner. Under the Launcher tab, you'll want to click the + Add New button.

Then, type in the name of the action and choose what it opens. For instance, if you're adding a Prayer Launcher action, you'll type in the title and then choose Nucleus Prayer as the option the action will open.

Remember to Save your selection, or Cancel if you've changed your mind 🙂

Your new action will automatically be placed at the top of your actions list. It'll also be grayed out. This means that an action has not been fully set up yet, and therefore can't be added to your Launcher yet. You can also Delete the action if you've made a mistake. To finish setting up the new action, click the Setup Button beside your new action.

On the setup page, you'll make sure The Launcher action will behave in the way you want. In this example, we've selected the Prayer Hub to be the destination that the action leads to. (Don't forget to scroll to the bottom to Save.)

You can then repeat these steps to add as many actions to The Launcher as you want. The limit does not exist! However, we do recommend starting with the top 5-7 primary actions you would like your church to be taking. This number is flexible and may change based on the size of your church, but the main concept is that you want to be mindful of how many items you add so folks don't find themselves scrolling and scrolling to find what they need.

Order & Manage Your Launcher Actions

If you would like to change the order in which your Actions appear in The Launcher, you can rearrange these from the Launcher tab. To do this, simply click the double lines beside the Action, and then drag it up or down to place it above or below your other Launcher Actions. 

Meanwhile, if you need to adjust the details of that Action (such as what Flow an item is connected to, or to update featured item text, etc.), you'll want to click the Edit button beside the Action you want to change. 

Finally, you can delete an Action at any point to remove it from The Launcher by clicking the Delete button.

Feature An Action

You can choose to feature an Action in The Launcher so that it's highlighted and stands out as the prominent next step that you would like people to take. 

To do this, from your Launcher tab click the Featured Action button. Here, you'll want to choose the Action you want to feature.

Then you'll want to choose the style you would like to use for your featured action: either Smaller or Larger. (You can preview each of these options by clicking the Preview button in the upper right-hand corner.)

The Smaller option keeps the Launcher Action the same size as your other Actions but highlights the item in a slightly darker shade - like this: 

Whereas the Larger option adjusts the size of the Launcher Action to be larger than the other actions in the Launcher - like this: 

After selecting which style you want to use, the next step is to decide if you want the prompt for attention active.

When the prompt for attention option is toggled on, the featured next step will actually pop up out of the Launcher:

A featured action will showcase a short description of that action. You can choose to edit what the description says by going back to the Actions section and scrolling down to the description box under Additional Settings.

Customize Text In Your Launcher

You also have the ability to customize the components of The Launcher, such as The Launcher Title and Discovery Message. To make these customizations, under Next Steps, choose the Launcher tab, then the Customize Text section. 

Here, you can go ahead and enter in the text that you would like to be your Launcher Title. Or scroll down to adjust the Discovery Message. This is the message that will scroll out from The Launcher when someone first lands on your church's website.

Finally, if you have more than the allotted 4-5 next steps that can appear on the first page of The Launcher, you can even adjust the text that is displayed on the "See More" button: 

Whatever you choose to customize, remember to scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to ensure the changes you've made take effect 😊

Preview Your Launcher

Finally, to preview any changes you make, you can click the Preview button in the upper right-hand corner at any point to see what your Launcher will look like with the choices you've made.
