Share Your Launcher

Once you’ve installed The Launcher on your church’s website, it’s time to start sharing it with others! While it’s super easy to point people to The Launcher (or even a specific action item in The Launcher), there are many different ways to do this, so let’s cover all the basics to make sure you’re selecting the most appropriate one for the context in which you’re sharing The Launcher.

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

Starting Point

To begin, make your way to the Share tab of your Next Steps. Click here for quick access.

Most of us are familiar with the verbiage “link in bio.” But we all know that on most social media profiles, you can only add a single URL, but if you’re like most churches, you have more than one next step people can take.

The Launcher is a fantastic tool that can be used to solve this exact problem. With The Launcher, you can host various different next steps and external links. In this way, The Launcher can be used in a similar way as Linktree or other comparable platforms - but with one major difference. With The Launcher, it’s more than just a list of links. Paired with Info Cards, Flows, the free Nucleus Prayer Hub, or even things like Nucleus Giving, The Launcher becomes a way for people to take a next step, to pray, give, sign up, or many other things, right in The Launcher, without ever leaving the social media app! This is one reason it’s so powerful for churches - because it enables people to take their next step from wherever they are.

If you’re wanting to use The Launcher as your link-in-bio, choose the As link in bio tab in the submenu (click here for quick access), and click to copy the URL. (Oh, and then paste it in your social media profile. That’s an important step too 😉)

If you’re wanting to add a button or hyperlink somewhere on your website where The Launcher is installed, you’ll want to go to the On my website tab in the submenu. Click here for quick access.

When clicked on your website, this URL will force open The Launcher without having to reload the webpage a visitor is currently viewing.

If you’re using Nucleus Flows and are wanting to force open The Launcher to a specific Flow, you can select which Flow you want to open in the dropdown menu. This will change the URL below.

When you’re satisfied with the URL, click to copy, and paste it where you want on your website.

Share In An Email

When sending any promotional emails to your church, whether it be announcements for upcoming events, small groups to sign up for, volunteering opportunities - you name it! - instead of sending people only to your website, you can provide a URL that, when clicked on, not only takes people to your church’s website, but also forces open The Launcher to exactly where you want people to sign up. (How cool is that?! 😎)

To begin, go to the In an email tab in the submenu. Click here for quick access.

Then, make sure your church’s website is selected. (If you don’t have The Launcher installed on your website, you can change the website to the hosted on https://launcher.nucleus.church option.)

If you don’t see your church’s website as an option to select, this means you haven’t added it to your list of safe websites where The Launcher can be accessed. You can click here to add your church’s website URL.

Note: If you haven’t yet added your website’s URL, it’s likely that you haven’t yet installed The Launcher on your website. We recommend double checking that you’ve done that before moving on. Check out the following guides for further information and assistance.

If you’re using Nucleus Flows and are wanting The Launcher to open to a specific Flow, you can select which Flow you want to open in the dropdown menu. This will change the URL below.

Lastly, click to copy, and then paste the URL where you want it in your email.

Share In A Social Media Post

In the exact same manner as sharing The Launcher in an email, you can share The Launcher in a social media post. This is helpful for any post that you’re advertising an upcoming event or small group that you’re wanting people to sign up for. The URL people will click on will not only take people to your church’s website, but also force open The Launcher to exactly where you want people to sign up. (Again, how cool is that?! 😎)

To begin, go to the On social media tab in the submenu.

Lastly, click to copy, and then paste the URL in your social media post.

Hosted Page

Though we don’t encourage this to be a regular practice, sometimes it can be helpful to use the hosted page where The Launcher permanently exists outside of your website. This is most useful in rare instances where The Launcher can’t be installed directly on a website (for example, Godaddy sites which don’t allow for custom code).

To find The Launcher’s permanent URL, go to the Hosted page tab in the submenu. Click here for quick access.

Then, click to copy the URL, and paste it where you want people to be able to access The Launcher.

Shortening Your URL

Though the base URL for sharing The Launcher isn’t overly long, when creating a URL that also opens to a specific Flow, it can get lengthy. While URLs can be hidden by creating hyperlinks or buttons, in some cases, you can only paste the pure URL, which in some instances could look sloppy.

If you need to shorten The Launcher’s URL, TinyURL is a good option. But you can always do a quick Google search for “shorten URL” and click on any of the top results to obtain a short URL that will still link out to The Launcher.

What Next?

Assuming that you’ve installed The Launcher on your website, and that all your action items (or at least a good amount) have been added to it, and that you’re satisfied with the design of it, it’s time to learn about a couple other features that go hand-in-hand with The Launcher: Banners and Info Cards.

If you’re set with the Manager access level for Next Steps, you’ll have access to Admin settings for this product. Check out the following article for guidance on ensuring all the appropriate admins have access to The Launcher who need it:
