Will Nucleus Work With What I Already Use?

The Short Answer Is: Yes!

The Nucleus Launcher, Prayer, Flows, and Giving work on virtually any website. Or you can use them without a website. Nucleus products work perfectly as a standalone solution without a church website, and as an elegant Link-in-Bio on social media that helps people take next steps without leaving their social media app. Nucleus products can be used all together, or you can use them separately - whatever fits what your church needs best.

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

Install On Virtually Any Website

The Nucleus Launcher can be installed on virtually any website, using almost any website builder. You can find our step-by-step installation guide here.

If you don't see your specific website builder listed, no worries! This doesn't mean that the Launcher won't work for you. This just means we don't have a guide created for your specific website builder. Please follow our general guide to gain further insight on how to install the Launcher on your website.

Or if you'd like, our team is more than willing to personally work with you. This will also help us learn which website builders are most common and write new installation guides going forward to aid more churches in the future.

The beauty of the Launcher is that it lives on every page of your website and can also be used as a Link-in-Bio option for your social media platforms. This allows your Launcher to be the gateway to all your church's most important next steps, whether that's in the form of using other Nucleus products - such as Giving or Prayer - or whether you're wanting to link elsewhere (on your church's website or to other external URLs). Wherever next steps need to be taken online, make them easily accessible by linking them through your Launcher so that they're all found in one place.

You can also easily point people directly to specific next steps using Trigger Links. Trigger Links are URLs that are designed to open your Launcher directly on a specific action item. This can be particularly helpful when you've designed your website to include buttons highlighting specific next steps. Or perhaps you've sent out an email regarding a specific topic, such as submitting a prayer request, giving online, or even registering for event or volunteer form. You can use Trigger Links in the email that directly take people to your PrayerFlow, GivingFlow, or custom Flow!

You can learn more about creating and sharing Trigger Links here

You can also allow church members to save a link to the Launcher directly to their phone Home Screen, allowing the Launcher to operate similar to an app, while still using a web browser (so no downloading of an app is necessary 😎).

To do this, all you need to do is share the Hosted Page URL with your church. Simply go the Next Steps product in your Nucleus Dashboard, click on Share, and then select Hosted Page.

Once someone with an iOS device has the link open in their browser, they can click on the Share button on the browser’s toolbar. (That’s the rectangle with an arrow pointing upward.)

Then, they can tap the Add to Home Screen icon in the Share menu.

They’ll then be prompted to name the shortcut before tapping the Add button. The shortcut can be dragged around and placed anywhere, including in app folders, just like a normal app icon.

To save your Nucleus Launcher to an Android home screen, begin by launching Chrome for Android and open the Hosted Page URL.

Now, click the menu button and tap Add to homescreen. You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.

The icon will appear on your home screen like any other app shortcut or widget, so you can drag it around and put it wherever you like.

Use Nucleus Exclusively (If You Want!)

All Nucleus products are designed to work seamlessly together, so if you want a connected, all-in-one platform, you can use everything Nucleus exclusively if you want!

A prime example of this is the Next Steps Launcher, which is designed to be the central hub for next steps at your church. The Launcher is designed to simultaneously house Flows, Giving, and Prayer, with each of these products working directly inside the Launcher without redirecting people to other pages or websites. In other words, people can give, ask for prayer, sign up for baptism, sign up to volunteer, register for an event - all within the Launcher, without needing to go to a single external webpage.

Additionally, all of our products are built with the People database undergirding the entire Nucleus platform. This means that anytime one of your church members makes a donation, submits a prayer request, or completes a Flow, each of these actions are then connected to their personal People profile. This allows the person to create an account where they can manage all of their submissions (giving and prayer included!), as well as keep their profile and contact information up to date. On the church administrator side, this allows the church to see all of the submissions connected to a specific person for each product, but also allows you to view the profile information the person has provided for themselves.

And then there's Messages. When used in conjunction with Flows, it allows you to create Audiences for Campaigns based on people completing a specific Flow. For instance, if you have a registration for an upcoming event, you can create a Messages email campaign that will send out to each person who completes that registration.

Any of our products can be used together or separately. But we think together is better 😉

Integrations With Other ChMS Platforms?

Nucleus currently has a direct integration with Planning Center Online (PCO) that you can link to any Smart Contact or Additional Contact step in Nucleus Flows, Giving, or Prayer. This integration is specifically a push integration (i.e. a one-way sync) with PCO, meaning that when you enable the integration, certain profile information that is entered into a Flow (a custom Flow, GivingFlow, or PrayerFlow) will be "pushed" into your PCO account, creating or updating people records.

Click here to learn more about this specific integration.

Otherwise, Nucleus is looking forward to introducing other push-type integrations with other ChMS platforms.

Outside of integrations, we offer the ability to easily export .csv reports from many commonly-used areas (Flow submissions, Giving data, and People records to name a few) with all the information you need to import to other platforms using their import/upload features.

(And on the topic of download reports, if you're viewing your personal My Nucleus account, we also allow you to download your own transactions reports, for both Giving along with any Flow Payments.)

If you're using Nucleus People + Messages and are wondering how to ensure everyone ends up with a profile in your database without duplicates or missing anyone, and if you're also using Nucleus Flows, you can promote a Flow where people enter their personal information into a Smart Contact step and help them create a personal My Nucleus account. This will help introduce your church to enter the Nucleus ecosystem, while also ensuring they are listed in your People database.

(If you're not using Flows, another great way to bring about the same outcome is to point people to your Prayer Wall. If they don't have an account, but try to access the Prayer Wall, they'll need to create an account to do so.)
