Modify Key Language/Terms Used Throughout Posts

Every church has their own unique culture. And with that culture sometimes comes unique verbiage to call things that otherwise might be commonly known as something else. (You'll even find this phenomenon within Nucleus Giving. We call batch deposits Transfers 😎)

While Nucleus has decided to use terms for certain types of content that are common to most churches, you might prefer to use a different term to label those items. For instance, instead of Authors, you might want to use Collaborators. You can get as creative as you'd like with a select number of terms used throughout the Post Hub.

To get started, click on Post Hub while in Nucleus Sermons. From there, choose Settings in the top menu, and then select Language (Terms) in the left sidebar. Click here for a quick link.

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

What Terms Can You Adjust?

There are a total of seven different terms you can change the wording of:

  • Home
  • Collections
  • Authors
  • Topics
  • Search
  • Featured
  • Up Next

In most cases, you won't need to adjust these, but if you want to get creative, we're not going to stop you 😁

Note: Some terms, you can also adjust their plural form, so be sure to watch out for that.

Modify Common Terms In Your Post Hub

Click Edit on whichever terms you want to change.

Here, you'll be able to see the term Nucleus uses and the display term that you've decided to input in the Dashboard to help keep things organized. But wherever you've entered a custom term, that will take over any place Nucleus' term displays in Posts.

Some terms have plural options, like Collections, Authors, and Topics.

Preview, Save & Publish Your Changes

Need to see what your new terms look like on the front end? Click the Preview button at the top right.

This opens a new tab where you can scroll down and view any changes you've made.

Ready to publish your changes? Beside the Preview button, click to Publish, where you can choose to publish now, schedule to publish, or schedule to unpublish.

Feel free to always Save & Exit, and not Publish the change, or exit and discard changes!

What Next?

After you've modified any of the common terms throughout your Post Hub (or if you've decided to keep them as is), you might be ready to share your Post Hub to your Nucleus Website. Click below to learn how to do that:
