Find A Missing Gift & Resend A Receipt

While looking through your personal Nucleus account - specifically while reviewing your past donation history - you might notice some donations are missing 😱

Don't panic! There's a quick fix for this! Using the Receipt Lookup Tool, you can easily find a record of your donation, claim it, and even resend a digital receipt to your email.

To begin, login to https://my.nucleus.church and click My Giving. Select Missing a Donation? and then click to Open Receipt Lookup Tool. Click here for a quick link.

Why Am I Missing Transaction Records?

You might be wondering, "How did this happen in the first place?" Well, there are actually several possible reasons. Let's look at each one briefly below:

Your email address is unverified.

If you entered an email address in your church's GivingFlow, but you haven't yet verified your email address in our system, certain transaction records will not be linked with your personal Nucleus account. (This is typical of recurring/scheduled donations.)

You can quickly check to see if your email address is verified by clicking the Nucleus logo in the top left and selecting My Account. From there, select Contact Info in the submenu.

Here, you should be able to see if your email address is verified or not.

If your email address is unverified, please read over this visual guide before you click the button to resend the email to yourself to make sure the verification email actually lands in your inbox.

You entered an email address that isn't linked with your account.

Did you know that you can have multiple email addresses associated with your personal Nucleus account?

To do this, simply login to https://my.nucleus.church, click My Account, and then select Contact Info.

Under Email Addresses, you can add multiple email addresses that you own.

Note: If you try to add an email address here and are unable to, it's likely because that address has already been verified under a different Nucleus account. Send us a message to our Customer Success team to hello@nucleus.church and we'll help find your various accounts and merge them together for you. Just make sure to let us know the various email addresses you might have used so we can check for all possible accounts that could be yours.

Each email address you enter here will be sent a verification email from our system. Make sure you check your spam/junk inbox.

When you receive the verification email, click the button in the email to verify the address.

Note: If you don't see the email from us, please read over this visual guide before you click the button to resend the email to yourself to make sure the verification email actually lands in your inbox.

You can then enter any verified email address associated with your personal account in your church's GivingFlow the next time you make a donation, and that donation will be linked with your personal Nucleus account.

Note: You can only set one of your email addresses as your login email. To change what email address you sign in with, click here.

You entered an email address that's linked with another account.

In the past, you might have donated to your church using a different email address. In doing so, you might have also created a separate personal Nucleus account associated with that email address.

For instance, let's say you donated using email1@lifeabundant.la. You received a verification email from us, and you clicked the button in that email. This verified the email address to Account 1 in the Nucleus database.

Later on, you decided to donate using email2@realitybible.church. You then received a verification email from us to that inbox and you clicked the button to verify that email address. This email address is now associated with a different Nucleus account (Account 2) than the first one you created.

Sometime later, you decide to login to your Nucleus account using email1@lifeabundant.la, but you notice a donation is missing from your records. That's because the donation is actually associated with the second account under email2@realitybible.church.

If you follow the instructions below and do not see the option to claim your donation, this is most likely the scenario you find yourself in.

If that's the case, simply send our Customer Success team a message to hello@nucleus.church and we can help sort out your accounts so all your records are merged together. Just make sure to let us know the various email addresses you might have used so we can check for all possible accounts that could be yours.

You didn't enter an email address at all.

If your church allows for anonymous donations, you will not be required to enter a name or email address in the GivingFlow.

This means, unless you login to the GivingFlow or provide your email address at the end of the GivingFlow (after you've completed the donation), your donation will be listed as anonymous and not linked with your personal Nucleus account. Keep reading for how to claim these donations to your account.


How To Prevent Unclaimed Donations

Once you've added all the email addresses you own to your personal Nucleus account and made sure to verify each one, you can ensure all donations are correctly recorded in your personal Nucleus account by remembering to enter one of those email addresses in the GivingFlow.

The best way to do this is to sign into the GivingFlow (clicking the top right button) every time before you complete your donation.

If you forget to do this, your church might require you to enter a name and email address at the end of the GivingFlow, before completing the donation.

If your church allows for anonymous donations, then you won't be required to enter this before you complete your donation, but you can always enter your email address on the thank you/confirmation screen to obtain a digital receipt. (This also links your donation with your personal Nucleus account.)


Find & Claim A Missing Donation

To locate a record of your missing donation, login to https://my.nucleus.church and click My Giving. Select Missing a Donation? and then click to Open Receipt Lookup ToolClick here for a quick link.

Here, you can enter some basic information about your donation:

  • Amount
  • Date Given
  • Payment Method Type
  • Last 4 Digits of Payment Method
  • Expiration Date (if applicable)

Once you click Submit, you can see any record that is related to the information you entered. On the left side, if you see a toggle switch, this means the donation is not yet claimed. To claim the transaction to your personal Nucleus account, click the toggle switch and then click Claim Selected.

Note: If you are an admin for your church's Nucleus account, never claim a donation on behalf of a donor. In doing so, you will likely inadvertently claim the donation to your own personal Nucleus account. If you are helping a donor claim their donation, always let the donor claim their own donation by first letting them login to their own Nucleus account.

Now when you go to check your transactions in your personal Nucleus account, you will see a record of it there.

If, on the other hand, the record says "Claimed", then the transaction is already linked to a Nucleus account. See You entered an email address that's linked with another account. for how this might have happened.

Just make sure to let us know the various email addresses you might have used so we can check for all possible accounts that could be yours.


Resend A Digital Receipt

While searching for a transaction record, you can also view the entire transaction's details by clicking View.

At the bottom, you can enter an email address and then click Get an Email Receipt.

This will send a digital receipt to that address, even if you entered a different email address when originally entering your donation information in your church's GivingFlow.
