Notify Subscribers Of New Posts
Initially when starting out with Nucleus Posts, any Post you publish will need to manually be shared with the Audience who has subscribed to that particular Collection.
Soon, when you click to publish a Post, they will be sent an email automatically from that Collection's Smart Campaign letting them know there is a new Post to view!
For now, when you publish a Post, you will need to manually send an email using your Smart Campaign. Let's take a look at how easy this process is.
To get started, go to Messages in your Dashboard and then select Smart Campaigns. Then, make sure you're viewing Posts from the left sidebar to make sure you're viewing the correct Smart Campaigns. Click here for a quick link.

Next, click on the Smart Campaign you want to add emails to. This will bring you to your Emails (as noted in the left sidebar). Lastly, while you should already be there, click Send & Schedule.

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.
What Are Smart Campaigns?
Smart Campaigns are a part of Nucleus Messages. Whereas you can manually create a Campaign in Messages, Smart Campaigns are automatically created for you, based on other aspects of your Nucleus account. For instance, if you create a Flow, a Smart Campaign is created so that you can send an email to anyone who has submitted through that particular Flow. The same is true of Collections in Nucleus Posts. When you create a Collection, a Smart Campaign is automatically created for you, so you can manage and message your subscribers of that particular Collection.

Note: Unlike regular Campaigns in Nucleus Messages, Smart Campaigns are always automatically active and live. You can always pause a Smart Campaign, but there's no need to initially activate it.
Create & Craft Your Email (Send & Schedule)
Once you've published a Post to a Collection, you're ready to let your Subscribers & Audience know. In other words, it's time to send them an message 📧
You can make this email as simple as possible; there's no need to overthink it. You've already created the Post. This email is purely a notification letting them know there is a new Post, and how to access it. in fact, once you create your first one, it's probably best to simply duplicate each email going forward and just swap out the link for the one connected to your latest Post.
To create a new email, while in the Send & Schedule section of your Collection's Smart Campaign, click the + Add New button.

If you already have one or more emails created, you can always click the down arrow on the far right of an email and click Duplicate from the dropdown menu.

Give the email a name (probably easiest to just name it the same as the name of the Post you just published) and then click Save Changes.
Note: This is for admin purposes only. This is not the subject line of your email.
Now it's time to edit your message. The first thing you will want to do is add a sender name & reply-to email. This defaults to what is found in your Settings in the sidebar of your Smart Campaign; however, if you want to change it for just this one email, simply type in a custom sender +/or reply-to email below.

Now it's time to enter a subject line and fill in the email body. The Nucleus email editor allows you to bold, italicize, or underline text, as well as enter hyperlinks, images, or emojis so that you can craft the email you want your audience to receive. It also offers the ability to enter Smart Data, which will pull from available information for your subscriber (such as their first name) to make your email more personalized. To enter a Smart Data option click the {..} button and follow the prompts.

Below is an example of what that email can look like. Remember, your messaging can be very simple. Especially if you're utilizing the Welcome Email for your Smart Campaign, people will have already received one email confirming their subscription to a particular Collection.

Schedule Or Send Immediately
When creating emails in the Send & Schedule tab, you’ll see the following sending and scheduling options below the body text of your email:
- Don't Send Yet
- Choose A Date & Time
- Send Right Now
Selecting Don't Send Yet saves it as a draft and allows you to return to it a a later time.
Selecting Choose A Date & Time allows you to send your message to anyone who is a Subscriber in your Audience on a specific date, at a specific time in the future. Simply type in a date or use the date picker. Then type in a time and save your changes to schedule and send.
Selecting Send Right Now immediately sends your message to everyone who is currently a Subscriber in your Audience.

Before you send your email, though, it's always a good idea to send yourself a test email to make sure everything looks good while being viewed from an email inbox. To do this, simply click Send me a test email. After a few minutes, the test email will be sent to whatever your Nucleus login email address. The email will have [TEST] in front of the Subject Line to help you quickly locate it in your inbox.
