Share Your GivingFlow

Once you’ve added your GivingFlow to your The Launcher, it’s time to share it with the world! (Or at least with your church 😄) Just like you can share the Launcher in various ways, there are various ways you can share your GivingFlow.

To begin, go to your GivingFlow under the Manage dropdown menu in Giving. Then, select Share in the sidebar. Click here for a quick link.

In this guide, we'll cover the following topics. Click on any one to jump ahead.

Trigger Links are unique URLs that you can share with people that will automatically open the GivingFlow, and can even have preselected options filled out (like fund, amount, etc.) to make the process of donating even easier! Trigger Links can easily be shared in emails, on social media, or even on your website as a button or hyperlink.

For example, if you have a specific fund you want to direct people to donate to (perhaps there is a specific need that you’re promoting in your church on Sunday), you can have that fund already preselected for people when they click on the Trigger Link. This works great for giving campaigns or to highlight a need. Consider using a Launcher Banner or Info Card with a trigger link as the primary action! 😏

To begin, select Trigger Links from the submenu. Or click here for a quick link.

Here, you’ll see various options.

Choose Where You Want To Share Your GivingFlow

First, you have two options that will change the base/root URL depending on where you’re wanting to share the Trigger Link.

Note: While it might seem counterintuitive to not see your church’s URL show up below when On My Website is selected, this actually ensures that when the URL is clicked, it doesn't reload the entire webpage, and only opens the GivingFlow. It’s not the end of the world if you choose the wrong one. But try to choose the right one to ensure the best experience for your donors 😎

Once you’ve chosen where you want to share the Trigger Link, now it’s time to add in any preselected details. You can add in a suggested:

  • Donation amount
  • Fund
  • Frequency
  • Start date

You are more than welcome to leave all of these blank so it opens up a fresh GivingFlow. You can also choose to only add details in one field, but leave the rest blank. It’s totally up to you how much prefilled data you want loaded in the GivingFlow.

Note: Any preselected data you enter is only suggested options for the Giver. They can always go back and change these options if they want.

With any suggested information added, it will augment the Trigger Link below to ensure those preselected options appear when the URL is clicked on.

Once you’re happy with the options you’ve chosen, click the Copy button and paste the Trigger Link URL where you’d like to share it.

Share Your GivingFlow Via A Permanent URL

In rare cases where you can’t install the Launcher or the GivingFlow to your website (or you don’t have a website yet and don’t want to use The Launcher), you can always access your church’s GivingFlow via the Permanent URL.

To access this, click on Permanent URL in the submenu. Or click here for a quick link.

Then, click Copy and paste it where you wish to share it with your church.

Note: If you don’t see your permanent URL there, this is likely because your processing account is not yet active. To learn how to successfully activate your processing account, click here.

Share Your GivingFlow With A QR Code

Sharing your GivingFlow by sending a direct URL (whether through the Permanent URL or by creating Trigger Links) is great when communicating with people digitally (or when adding those URLs to a button or hyperlink on your website). But it's not so helpful for sharing on something physically printed. (No one wants to type out a long URL manually 😅)

That's where QR codes can come in handy! By linking your church's GivingFlow to a QR code, and then printing that QR code, people can then use their mobile device's camera to scan the QR code and be taken directly to your church's GivingFlow.

While we don't generate QR codes for you, you can easily find free tools online that can generate them. https://qr.io is one of the top search results in Google, but you can search the keywords "qr code generator" and find plenty of options to choose from.

You can create a Trigger Link or use your GivingFlow's Permanent URL for the QR code - whichever one makes the most sense - and then use the QR code on your desired printed material (e.g. a bulletin, a "giving" card, etc.).

What next?

Now that you know how to share your GivingFlow with your church, it’s time to review how to manage your donations once they start coming in:

But if you haven’t yet integrated the GivingFlow on your website (either via The Launcher or advanced installing it directly on your website), here are some guides on that:
